To engage learners in exemplary, innovative, evidence-based educational experiences to support the mission of APPT. 

Goals and Objectives: 

  1. Provide an educational forum to challenge pediatric physical therapists to transform practice, research, and education. 
  2. Deliver innovative, evidence-based knowledge, skills, and intervention strategies for translation to practice, research, and education. 
  3. Promote the health and wellness of participants and the individuals they serve. 
  4. Integrate pediatric physical therapy practices with other health care providers through professional development and networking opportunities.   
  5. Promote APPT to pediatric physical therapists with a focus on engaging students and new professionals.

  • Meet & Eat Groups
    • The APPT Membership Committee is launching Meet & Eat groups at SoPAC/APPTAC. To sign up, contact Carina Torres or Britta Battaile and indicate if you are interested in Friday lunch, Friday dinner, or Saturday dinner - space is limited! We will send you a list of the restaurant choices and then group you with other physical therapy professionals also interested in the same location to create small groups of 6.

    We hope you'll join the Fitness Challenge at Keystone!

    It's free to sign up, and there will be something for all and prizes for the top finishers! We will be using the Activity Club app to track how far you walk/run each day; no races necessary, just track your distances between your room, conference center, exhibit hall, etc. See directions below on how to download the app and start using it, so the challenge runs smoothly come conference time!

    Activity Club is a fitness app that makes it easy to compete against friends and motivate each other to stay fit.  Whether you have a Fitbit, Jawbone, iPhone, or Google Fit, Activity Club has you covered. Fitness should be fun; come play today!

    1. Download in the App Store

    • Sign up 
    • Connect a fitness tracker app to get started (e.g. Apple Health, Fitbit, etc.)
    • About You (be sure to fill in height and weight, do not skip this step)
    • Follow people to get started (optional, OK to skip) 
    • Tap hand (hi-five) to get started  

    2. Join APPT club

    • Tap Main (at bottom of leaderboard)
    • Tap + (plus) icon in upper right corner of popup menu
    • Tap Join Club
    • Enter club code: APPT

    3. Fill in Profile/Bio:

    • Tap on the Settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner
    • Tap Edit Profile
    • Once fields are filled in, tap Save at the bottom

    4. Notification Settings:

    • Tap on the Settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner
    • Tap Notification Settings
    • Tap Email Notification Settings (Recommend toggle all OFF, except Announcements)
    • Tap Push Notifications (Recommend push notification kept ON, except 'At night time')
    • Tap Save
