Pediatric Physical Therapists are "GOOFY FOR EXERCISE!"

 

Everyone can be - "GOOFY FOR EXERCISE!"

 

Join the APTA Section on Pediatrics as we challenge ALL members to participate in a half marathon, marathon or other running events.

Pediatric therapists across the country will train for the next eight months as we encourage children throughout the country to "BE GOOFY FOR EXERCISE!" Therapists and families plan to meet at Disney's Coronado Resort the weekend of January 8-10, 2010, as the APTA Section on Pediatrics kicks off its inaugural Conference! Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend Event, January 7 through 10 Sunday, January 10, 2010.

The final race of the weekend, you will complete the most magical 26.2 miles on Earth. The course takes you through all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks starting at Epcot®, continuing on to the Magic Kingdom® Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios™ and then back to Epcot® for an exhilarating finish.

 

Entry Fees

  • Walt Disney World® Marathon $125

  • Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge $285

  • Walt Disney World® Half Marathon $120

  • Circle of Life 5K $40 NOTE: The Circle of Life 5K is nearly full.  Any participants who want to register should go directly to the www.disneyworldmarathon.com site and register. 

 

Register for the Race

Disney is holding 80 race registrations for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and Goofy races for the Section on Pediatrics until November 1, 2009.

Important: You will be prompted for payment when you sign up.  Once the SoPAC Team is finalized, the Section will send the list and payment to Disney and the Section will prompt you to register with Disney online (racers are required to register with Disney to provide contact and medical information, etc). 

 

Transfer Policy

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made.

 

Cancellation Policy

If your registration for the 2010 event is confirmed and you are unable to participate, you will receive guaranteed entry into the 2011 race if you notify Disney in writing postmarked by November 13, 2009. Please note: You are still required to register for the 2011 race and your entry fee for the 2010 race WILL NOT transfer to the 2011 race.Call Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend Reservations at 407-WDW-IRUN (939-4786) with any questions.
